E11 Blogcast - Seasons Change
/Balance Garden is back after a year-long pause with a new frequency… Our summer solstice episode celebrates the warmth inside & out, through connection with nature, the self & each other. Featuring special guest - food & tea as medicine facilitator & cook, Hannah Yu, plus Balance Garden founder & wellness practitioner Jasmine Pradhan.
I’m also joined in conversation with Hannah Yu, who runs Eat Drink Hui, and tells us all about how she is working with food and tea as medicine from her ancestral roots in Chinese philosophy, taking new paths through music and modern gatherings.
Follow Hannah on Instagram @eatdrinkhui & subscribe on her website for news of her events
With a more seasonal offering, we’ll now present each podcast alongside a ceremonial workshop to mark every solstice and equinox. Balance Garden founder, Jasmine Pradhan, and podcast host and producer, Tiger Lily first discuss why they’re following this format in the first part of the show.
Our first ‘Embodied Earth’ event will be on Summer solstice, Weds 21st June, online from 8-9.30pm. Join Jasmine for a 90 minute workshop which will involve a combination of yin, flow and restorative yoga, acupressure, guided meditation and sacred ritual, which will tune into the gifts of the season and the unique energy of the Summer Solstice, hopefully leaving you feeling clearer, lighter, rejuvenated and in deeper harmony with yourself and the rhythm of the natural world.
With some words from Mark Sparrow, inspired by the land at Haddon Copse Farm in Dorset, we’re delighted to share with you a Balance Garden discount for their new one-day retreat, Soil-to-Soul, to reconnect with nature. It will take place on 1st July and 10th September - a chance to spend a day slowing your pace, opening your senses and enriching your relationship with the wealth of the natural world.
You can camp on the farm for free the night before and after the retreat and Balance Garden subscribers can get a discounted rate for the day, of £85pp (full price £120pp). For more details head to their website and email them to apply for the discount.
